Santa's Calling You - Our Exclusive Book!
If you’ve been following our story since last Christmas when none of us could meet up, then you’ll know that Santa has been even busier than usual over the course of the Covid-19 pandemic. Keen to make sure that children didn’t miss out on seeing him even when the grottos were closed, Santa Claus learned – like the rest of us! – how to use Zoom, and make sure everyone could have a live video call with Santa Claus direct from the North Pole!
It wasn’t easy; he didn’t know how at first he would still be able to meet all the children around the world that he is used to seeing in the run up to Christmas every year, how he would check their names on his nice list, or how he could deliver the true message of Christmas. But with a little help from his North Pole friends he managed, and Christmas was saved!
Santa decided to write an exclusive book about his experiences, so together with James Bartlett (who put Santa’s thoughts into words), and Yogesh Mahajan (who has drawn Santa, the Elves, and the North Pole so beautifully), we present Santa’s Calling You – the book that will be read aloud during our story time add-on, and which can be purchased separately as part of your live video call with Santa call package.
In addition to being a delightful Christmas tale about how Santa just won’t give up, it will also help younger children to make sense of what has been a confusing time for adults, let alone anyone else. Santa is so excited about being able to talk to whole families over Zoom at the same time that he has decided to carry on – he’s quite a whizz with new technology! So in addition to visiting grottos this year – or instead of, if you’d prefer to stay as Covid-safe as possible – he’s carrying on talking to as many people as he can before the big day, supervising the Elves as they put their finishing touches on presents, and checking names off on his Nice List. As Santa is magic, he can be everywhere at once – how else do you think he gets around the whole world in one night?
He really enjoyed writing a book with James’s help, so Santa would love to read it out to children as part of the story-time add on for a live video call with Santa Claus from the North Pole. He’s excited to share how he adapted to make a Covid Christmas as good as possible, and he’s keen to hear what children have been doing too, and how well they’ve been getting on with learning at home and keeping busy.
